Away from violence: A latent transition analysis on support for violent and non-violent radicalization among adolescents

Support for violent and non-violent radicalization co-exists in some, but not all, adolescents. Yet, little is known about how adolescents transition towards or away from violent and/or non-violent radicalization over time. Within a socio-ecological framework, this study investigates how Canadian adolescents move from profiles that support violent radicalization to non-violent profiles and vice-versa and whether profile belonging is associated with social-, school- and family-related factors, psychological distress and specific ideologies.
Educate Against Hate – Resources

Educate Against Hate put together over 80 different resources, trainings and other activities helping teachers, parents and guardians to talk about topics related to discrimination, extremism, online safety or radicalization with young people and children. Each tool is described by key-words and can be downloaded as a pdf, word document or a presentation or visualized in the form of a short video.

Promoting Relationships & Eliminating Violence Network (PREVNET) offers a list of youth engagement resources on its website, including a webinar, toolkits and tip sheets. Several resources come from Wisdom2Action, a member of the CPN-PREV and partner of PREVNET.
